The Chicago Art Scene

This high quality art book features 68 artists from Chicago and its vicinity. It uses individual artist's statement and biography to enlighten the readers on the artist's vision and what each artist brings to the art scene.

The media include, but are not limited to: oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, charcoal, prints and quilt. The styles are as varied as the population in this major metropolitan area.

Marta Pappert, a corporate art consultant and one of the jurors, summed up the juried selection as follows: 'When the making of the art is going well, the passion and pleasure in its creation shines through the work itself.' The book includes 208 color illustrations and a directory of featured artists.
